International Jiu-Jitsu Seminar in Riga with Priit Mihkelson: A Day of Knowledge, Practice, and Baltic Unity

On May 18, an international Jiu-Jitsu seminar was held in Riga under the guidance of one of the Baltic region’s top specialists — Priit Mihkelson. The event brought together practitioners from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, offering a unique opportunity to learn from a recognized master and deepen their understanding of ground fighting.

Over the course of six intensive hours, participants trained hard on the tatami — learning new concepts, refining techniques, and exchanging experience with fellow athletes from neighboring countries. Priit Mihkelson’s approach, based on deep analysis of ground scenarios and creative solutions, sparked great interest and inspired many to pursue further development in Jiu-Jitsu.

The seminar was not only a chance to improve technical skills, but also a platform for strengthening ties between Baltic Jiu-Jitsu schools. This kind of exchange plays a vital role in the growth of Jiu-Jitsu in the region and demonstrates how the community can thrive through collaboration and shared learning.

We thank Priit Mihkelson for his valuable insights and inspiration, and all participants for their energy, dedication, and pursuit of excellence. Until we meet again on the tatami!
